Speakers
Darlene Cavalier, Founder, SciStarter.com will talk about the growth of citizen science and emerging areas of co-construction between researchers and citizens.
Robert Cheetham, CEO, Azavea will speak to the development of (largely open source) online tools enabling and activating this social and scientific development.
Kate Atkins: Philadelphian, citizen birder. Kate will discuss how digital tools like eBird directly support her growth as a citizen scientist, and recent applications of crowd-sourced ornithological data in the scientific community.
